The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
• Leads and mentors a team of 2 or 3 Quality technicians in management of the Quality system. The candidate will provide objectives for their team and effectively manage performance.
• Implements robust corrective actions in accordance with the requirements of ISO9001. Prepares reports detailing findings for communication to team members. Implement 3M systems & documentation in a timely manner to support projects on existing and new products
• Determines gaps and weaknesses within the Quality System and able to independently develop appropriate resolutions
• Supports the business in other areas of Quality outside of systems when necessary (ie production quality resolution, attend management meetings in event Quality Manager is absent).
• Maintain good reputation of Quality Department amongst peers through positive and professional approach to role.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
• ONC / HNC or higher qualification in a technical discipline
• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer working in manufacturing. Experience of plastic / rubber moulding and assembly line manufacturing is advantageous
• Certified Lead auditor with experience of maintaining Quality Systems and working in a regulated business (ie PED, MED, ATEX..etc)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• Experience in using Six Sigma tool (Process capability, MSA, PFMEA, DOE, Error proofing & Problem solving tools)
• Experience in using SAP is preferred
• Has technical aptitude ie can read and understand technical drawings, test specification and test reports
• Skills include confidence in presenting complicated technical concepts to cross functional high-level management, able to work effectively on own or as part of team.
Remuneration
Salary - £high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package.
