Become part of the Quality team delivering excellent service & support to Ardagh Metal Packaging’s Deeside End manufacturing facility.
Reporting to the Quality Manager you will work as part of the Deeside Quality team to proactively develop the Plant quality practices, procedures and systems. Liaising with all departments to assess, prioritise and reduce the Quality risks of current production. Using data and CI tools to improve areas of the process. Leading, and developing a small team to achieve Plant KPIs.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support the maintenance, development and implementation of Quality ISO 9001 and Food Safety ISO 22000 management systems
• Build a strong relationship with all plant departments
• Support the investigation of internal and external quality incidents
• Leading and developing the Quality team to meet the requirements of the Plant
• To be a key member of meeting internal, customer and third-party audit requirements
• Ensure robust containment, corrective and preventive actions are in place

• Using data analyses to improve and optimise the process
• Manage the control of the QA Lab including calibration
• Propose ideas to reduce the COQ, defect rates, complaints and also assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the department
• Benchmarking performance and techniques inside and outside the industry
• Review current practices and lead change to improve the department

Requirements & Experience:

• Ability to demonstrate safe working practices
• Good communicator to all levels and able to lead and work as part of a small team
• Ability to demonstrate good decision making in a demanding environment
• Must be action orientated with a desire to achieve results / persevere with a CI approach
• Able to multitask, prioritise and organise the team to close out items in a timely manner
• Experience within a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment is desirable

• Experience in a previous customer faced role is desirable
• Knowledge of CI tools is essential (5 why, 8D, Ishikawa, PDCA, DMAIC etc). Six Sigma Green belt desirable
• Knowledge of SPC, 5S, Capability Studies, ISO standards, audit experience and food safety standards is desirable
• A flexible approach to work content in-line with day to day requirements.
• Evidence of self-motivation, an ability to use your own initiative and attention to detail is essential

Education:

• 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Quality qualification desirable
• Lead auditor qualification is desirable
• Computer Skills -Advanced computer skills for Microsoft Office. Experience of SAP, APRISO, InfinityQS, Minitab desirable
• Languages - Fluent in written and spoken English

Working Pattern:
42hours Monday to Friday
