Job Summary

The key role of AM Performance Improvement is to drive Business Improvement initiatives as part of Performance Improvement (PI) in various businesses across the globe. The focus is to improve operational efficiency and strategy Implementation for beyond manufacturing which includes Supply Chain/ Sales / Marketing / Planning etc. The main aim is to have Visible impact on the company’s P&L, Conversion Cost and Bottom Line. At the same time, it will make sure that competencies are developed for our people, customer/ consumer trust is built and environmental sustainability is ensured. This role helps implementing Business Excellence using various tools / methodologies like Lean, Value Engineering, Data Analytics, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Change Management. Creating digital dashboard and implementing these recommendations in a hands-on way on the ground – wherever the opportunities may be.  In addition, this position should build strong cross-functional and personal relationships with functional managers across the company to identify and realize opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

•    Create ‘personal value-add’ by initiating, steering, and completing initiatives in his/her own ‘spike’ area of expertise, including leading the pilot implementation and setting the high bar in terms of work quality and impact. 
•    Formulate hypotheses around the identified PI opportunities, which are testable through both quantitative and qualitative analyses
•    Structure the hypotheses into MECE components for methodical problem-solving and root-causing in an effective and efficient manner to tight timelines
•    Plan and execute – in a direct and hands-on way – the required analysis to identify the problem root causes and high-impact solutions, including the quantification of financial benefits
•    Synthesize analysis findings into actionable ‘So What?’ recommendations, delivered in well-structured documents – both in writing and verbally in a constructively assertive way
•    Structure the journey in a way that business can see impact of pilot and implementation is effective and done in efficient manner to tight timelines.
•    Create detailed workplans with a systematic iterative update cadence for Continuous Improvement and careful Change Management with key stakeholders.
•    Training of people and make them comfortable for usage of latest technology is one of key success factor to implement Digitalization.
•    Build strong cross-functional and personal relationships both inside and outside the organization to learn continuously how digitalization can take our manufacturing capabilities to next level.
•    Work closely with stakeholders at the Corporate and BU levels to jointly devise actionable implementation plans for full ‘buy-in’ and partnered implementation of PI recommendations

KPIs

•    Income Statement:  Trade spend abs/% of revenue; COGS abs/%; Opex abs/%; GM abs/%; PBT abs/%
•    Balance Sheet:  Days inventory outstanding (DIO); Days receivable (DSO); Days payable (DPO)
•    Project-specific KPIs:  On-time project completion; Project sponsor/stakeholder NPS score

Work experience requirement

2~5 years of work experience, both as an internal expert/consultant in an FMCG company and as an external advisor with a reputed consulting firm 
Hands-on implementation of complex PI initiatives across Process Optimization, Value Engineering, with demonstrable financial benefits
Practical experience of implementing projects with significant improvement in terms of Productivity. 
Project Management Experience of medium to large projects

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree from a reputed polytechnical school specialization / Post Graduate in Business Administration is desirable.
PMP, Six Sigma Certifications etc.
