Position Purpose:
New Store Development Program Support
Architecture/Design Assignment Summary
Manage and/or Supervise a variety of Architectural and Design responsibilities, assisting Director Architectural Services with prototype initiatives including but not limited to budgets & design research. Additional responsibilities include managing vendor contracts, construction budget management and assisting Store Designers and Construction Project Managers on design-related issues.
Construction Assignment Summary
Assist with vendor management of the Architects, Engineers and Consultants providing plans and specifications at a site specific level. As directed by the Director of Architectural Services, provide assistance with plan reviews and coordination of construction documents and respond to requests for additional information, to aid our vendors in the adaptation of prototype drawings and to provide support to the Construction Team, as vendor issues arise during the construction phase, in particular, those related to the Architecture Design program.
Real Estate Assignment Summary
Manage materials, documents and exhibits as directed by the Director of Architectural Services to assist in the Site survey, implementation of prototype initiatives, update Lease exhibits, especially as they relate to the Architecture Design program.
Architecture/Design Assignment
Assist the Architectural Design Manager with prototype value engineering and design improvement.
Establish, update and maintain Consultants, Contractors, and Vendor Lists.
Manage Vendor contracts, including NDA’s and track pricing for National Account Vendors and Consultants.
Research Architectural and Design elements, providing options for approval by Director of Architectural Services.
Coordinate and manage vendor surveys for use by Store Design and Architectural/Engineering Consultants.
Maintain current knowledge and acute interest in design for architectural and engineering services, energy initiatives, space planning and general building design and site development.
Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts, with emphasis on company interests while scheduling and coordinating all phases of the store development process.
Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and through the work of subordinates.
Organize and maintain library of building materials and finishes.
Facilitate meetings, including documentation of discussions and decisions.
Communicate action items.
Construction Assignment
Assist in controlling costs and improving prototype plans and specs, by building, maintaining and evaluating errors and omissions logs, preparing recommendations and coordinating and communicating proposed and approved resolutions.
Prepare material and labor estimates and regular review of project-specific costs.
Establish, update and maintain Consultant and Vendor Lists.
Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests while coordinating within all phases of construction.
Independently prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes and through the work of subordinates.
Perform special projects as assigned or required.
