Quotes and sayings from Francis Bacon

Quotes and sayings from Francis Bacon
Francis Bacon was a British author, philosopher, and statesman born on January 22, 1561 in York House, London, England. He is known for his sharp worldly wisdom of a few dozen essays, his power as a speaker in Parliament and in famous trials, and as James I’s lord chancellor. Bacon claimed all knowledge as his province and, after a magisterial survey, urgently advocated new ways by which man might establish a legitimate command over nature for the relief of his estate. Some of his notable works include “Advancement of Learning”, “Commentarius Solutus”, “De Sapientia Veterum”, “Instauratio Magna”, “Novum Organum”, and "The New Atlantis". Bacon died on April 9, 1626 in London at the age of 651.
