The job itself

Are you looking for a change and an exciting new challenge in a supportive and progressive work environment? If yes, an opportunity awaits you within East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Corporate Programme team, in a full-time role.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our existing Corporate Programmes team to delivery complex infrastructure and ICT solution projects within the Smart County and ICT Capital Programmes. You will be responsible for the delivery of various projects to meet identified business needs across the Council, working with internal and external customers, as well as partner organisations. You will have an appreciation of ICT technologies, be self-motivated and forward thinking, with a can-do attitude and an engaging personality.

The ability to build relationships in a remote working environment is key, you need to be both flexible and positive, and able to adapt to new situations or procedures as required.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience and/or skills in the following areas:

Have experience in delivering complex projects on time and to budget
Ability to motivate, provide clear direction and prepare others for change
Good interpersonal skills and able to deal with people face to face, via video calling, on the phone or via written communications
Experience of working with suppliers and partners to deliver solutions to improve service delivery
Ability to solve problems, make informed decisions and work on your own initiative
Attention to detail and produce well written documentation
