What to Expect
Tesla's Supplier Industrialization team is responsible for critical component development and qualification activities with suppliers in Ciudad Juarez or Guadalajara. This position involves communicating well with internal and external teams, traveling to suppliers in different regions, and on-the-spot critical decision making.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback into our design
- Suppliers On Time Delivery performance
- Supplier Quality Performance
- Supplier Production Capacity (Operations management)
- Supplier PBCBA and Top Level Assembly experience
What You’ll Bring
_ Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, practical experience of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) and Strong understanding of IATF-16949, or equivalent
- Practical 6 Sigma experience and solid knowledge of statistical applications and experience on AIAG Core Tools
- Mechanical background with statistical tolerance analysis, PCBA manufacturing process background with practical experience (SMT and Thru Hole) and Top Level Assembly
- Supplier development and management experience, Self-motivated and the ability to work independently, excellent spoken and written English and Spanish, Hands on and ready to work in a fast-paced environment
- Domestic and international travel (expected 50% of the time) is required to engage with CM's, sometimes on short notice
