About the role

Reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with the Operations team you will have an integral role in developing, planning and implementing Quality Assurance programs to ensure the consistent delivery of quality products.
Location: Kilcoy

YOUR RESPONSILBITIES

Assist in updating and continuous improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Program
Participate as an active member on the HACCP team contributing to scientific knowledge and assessment of risks.
Ensure compliance with specifications, food standards and procedures and liaise with Operations team and site Leadership team to ensure that finished product is of the highest quality and safety and meets legal-customer requirements.
Manage the document control program for all quality related programs. Ensure that all the GMP, CCP, RCP & QCP records are completed and verified daily, and any discrepancies addressed promptly.
 Trend and monitor business KPI’s and those parameters as required by auditable standards.
Ensure that the verification schedule is up to date, including product’s internal and external testing and assessment.
Make sure the calibration schedule is maintained and the required validation activities are conducted on a timely basis.
Assist in investigating customer complaints, conducting root cause analysis for nonconformance and risk assessments as required.
Manage the traceability program and assist in conducting traceability and mock recall exercises.
Manage the shelf-life testing program for all products.
Ensuring products for export meet importing country requirements. Review regulations and updates and communicate to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Carrying out supplier non-conformances and customer complaint investigations
Developing and implementing food safety and quality training
Lead and motivate a team of quality professionals

You will bring with you:

3+ years' experience in Quality, food manufacturing environment
Have sound knowledge and working experience with food safety systems such as HACCP and GFSI Quality Systems
Understanding of the QA requirements in a manufacturing environment
Experience in developing and maintaining Food Safety systems and Quality Assurance programs
A positive and friendly attitude
Ability to work well in a team-based environment. 
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Dedication and commitment to quality and compliance principles

Experience / Qualifications Required

Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Experience with ILeader software highly desirable
Qualifications in HACCP and Quality Management
Experience of AusMeat and Halal certification highly regarded.
Quality systems development
Intermediate Microsoft office
Unlimited working rights within Australia
