The Vacancy

We have a unique opportunity for a Business and Change Readiness Lead to ensure business readiness for the launch of the Apollo Minimum Viable Product (MVP), for our Apollo Programme; one of the most significant change programmes our business has undergone. Apollo will enable the group’s strategic objectives by delivering a new, modern & progressive cloud-based banking platform that utilises data as an asset to help build a better tomorrow for our Customer, Colleagues and Shareholders.
Apollo represents an agile way of working collaboratively, within multi-disciplinary teams to achieve our exciting goals. 
This role can be based from our Cardiff, London, Reading or Manchester locations.  We offer hybrid working so you can work a blend of home and office.

As Business and Change Readiness Lead, you will drive business readiness and continued success by planning, managing, and executing change management activities for the new solution.
You'll be a keen communicator and collaborator, and ensure stakeholders are actively engaged on business readiness, resolving blockers, and escalating where appropriate. You'll measure and communicate progress to leadership within committed time frames, proactively supporting through innovative solutions and delivery excellence.

What your day will look like:

Reporting to the Group Operational excellence Director, you will be responsible for:
Playing a critical CX delivery role within our Apollo model office environment for the groups largest strategic programme of work
Working in collaboration with the Apollo Programme establish the Business Change / Business Readiness Workstream
Lead the design and set up of the Apollo model office environment to support MVP Day 1 including Business Support Model
• Translating our IT solution into customer journeys and designing and capturing the associated process maps in line with the CX Process excellence framework
• Working closely with the Head of Operational Design to ensure that the operational design is interlocked with the broader CX operational design strategy
• Building and executing the people capability development plans as we transition our people into the new operating model, process and systems.
• Playing a key role within the Apollo Programme Management Meetings and Steering Committees on progress, interlocks, or dependencies between workstreams, escalations and blockers
• Leading and adhering to essential governance requirements for project deliverables, creating and disseminating relevant information to stakeholders wherever required
• Providing regular updates to the Apollo Programme senior leadership team and CX Leadership team
• Identifying key impacted stakeholders and teams and ensuring full collaboration and engagement with the programme
• Support alignment, engagement and commitment of relevant leadership and stakeholders.
• Conduct effective change impact assessments, readiness assessments, and stakeholder analysis
• Define, plan and execute change management plans to support communication and transition activities
• Drive the training plans for the impacted stakeholders to work with the new solution
• Define and measure business readiness success metrics and monitor change progress
• Develop, deliver, and manage communication, stakeholder, training, engagement, adoption, and resistance management plans
• Integrate change management activities into programme plans
• Ensure that information is communicated to impacted audiences throughout the duration of the programme
• Manage stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of the end-to-end change management strategy, identify risks and issues relating to change management
• Proactively identify and implement improvements to the change management strategy & methodology

About you - What we need you to bring to the business:

• Experience working within Model office environments advantageous
• Strong process design and excellence and customer journey experience
• Experience in driving value and benefit as key outcomes
• Strong change management and business readiness practitioner skillset
• Awareness and working knowledge of agile practices, including SCRUM methodologies, DevOps, Kanban, etc.
• Working knowledge of Agile collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Teams)
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management experience
• Strong communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels through facilitation, engagement, mentoring and continuous improvements
• The skills required to support delivery of the workstream, including but not limited to robust reporting and planning, foresight and problem solving, time management and organisation
