Essential Responsibilities
As the Plant HSE Talamona, you will:
• Design and lead a contemporary HSE strategy for the plant to make it safer and more sustainable, together with the plant manager and the rest of the plant leadership team
• Define and implement a compelling communication plan and a set of key performance indicators to create a shared sense of accountability towards HSE performance and culture
• Lead, nurture and inspire the plant HSE team, composed by both company’s HSE professionals and contractors
• Interface with and influence both customers and contractors, to continuously improve the HSE culture and performances of all the people operating in the plant
• Embrace Process Safety as a key strategy to identify, mitigate and manage risks associated with pressurized gases and high-hazard equipment
• Be up to speed with the most recent developments in the areas of HSE management systems and standards, human and organizational performance, process safety to continuously inform and improve the plant HSE strategy
• Ensure that all HSE requirements and regulations defined by law, such as D. Lgs 81/08, are met
Qualifications / Requirements:
• Degree in HSE sciences, engineering or equivalent
• 10-years of professional experience in HSE, HSE leadership and/or operations
• Knowledge of local HSE regulations, and most widely used HSE international standards and management systems
• Knowledge and practice of emergency preparedness, safety risk assessments and safe working procedures, construction safety, ergonomics, contractor safety, industrial hygiene; and highly hazardous operations, such as complex lifting, pressure equipment
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with plant leadership, HSE professionals, customers, and contractors
• Inclusiveness and team working skills, ability to mediate among different teams she/he should interact with
• Availability to travel internationally
• Fluent in Italian and English
Desired Characteristics:
• RSPP or ASPP qualification
• Experience of HSE leadership in similar plant / construction yards in an international environment
• Knowledge and practice of Process Safety
• Knowledge and practice of Human Performance principles
