Local Unit & Position Description

To further facilitate the growth of our Food sector, DNV Business Assurance is looking to recruit a Business Leader Food to join our Sales team. The Business Leader will achieve sales targets and ensure the development of the Food sector & relevant new services, to meet DNV requirements. In this role you will be challenged to fully utilise your commercial, business and technical acumen and competencies to lead, work with and provide a substantial value add to the Food sector team by achieving the growth ambitions related to the Food sector.

You will be a key leading member in designing and developing our service offering and market approach and work with cross functional units in management systems certification, training and a variety of other services.
In this role you report to the Area Sales & Training Manager Benelux

Key tasks

This is a quick and diverse role with a wide range of activities:
As a part of your role as a Business Leader Food you:
• Face of the Company. You are the face of DNV for the Food sector in the Benelux; representing DNV in all manners by performing sales & acquisitions visits, taking speaking & writing opportunities and providing direction for our sector team.
• Sector ownership. You take ownership of the goals and targets for the Food sector. Defining and putting in place plans and actions to meet sales and revenue targets.

• Create business opportunities. Your commercial, business and technical acumen creates opportunities for DNV that benefit our (potential) customers. You create customerfit proposals and win contracts.
• Build relationships. You will build lasting relationships with customers, consultants and colleagues to be successful in your role. This includes training/coaching (junior) sales officers in their daily sales tasks for instance with (new) scheme requirements. In addition you are an integral part of the global DNV Food network.
• Find solutions that work. You get to know your customers by interviewing them thoroughly and making sure to understand their business needs and deliver a good spot on problem analysis. With this knowledge you will allow you to then build a customized solution from our portfolio that has a real impact on their organization.
• Service development. You initiate and drive the development of new services based on market analysis and trends, updating existing services, keeping information packages up-to-date and available.

Position Qualifications

We are open to hiring candidates from different backgrounds, experience, and skills. Here’s what we’re looking for in a preferred candidate:
• Food (safety) specialist. You have extensive knowledge of standards and services relevant to the Food sector in addition to experience in food safety. A minimum of 5 years experience in F&B management system certification is expected.
• Sales experience. You will receive excellent induction training of our tools over several weeks, but you need to have a previous background in sales positions.

• Proven winner. You live with sales targets and KPIs as part of your daily business. We are looking for people who are target driven and can demonstrate exceeding them.
• Desire to drive. You are a leader with strong project management skills and have the desire to drive (non-direct reports) the Food sector team.
• You are organized. This is a fast-paced role with a mix of proactive and reactive activities. The right candidate will be able to juggle multiple priorities and work accurately and well under pressure.

• You bring energy into the room. We are looking for lively, hungry, ambitious, energetic team players.
• You will be bright and emotionally intelligent. You have a degree (Bachelor+ level or equivalent experience), you have the ability to learn a portfolio of complicated products and are able to describe them to clients. You must also have a high level of emotional intelligence.
• Resilience. You must be able to self-motivate and push through adversities in this role.
• Dutch and English. A good command of the Dutch and English language is necessary in writing and in speech.
