Quality Co-ordinator - Food Manufacturing

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days
This role is both office-based and shop-floor based meaning the jobholder will get a good mix of different environments. Working closely with the Quality Manager, the Quality Co-ordinator will assist with all aspects of Quality Assurance, to ensure the business is manufacturing safe, legal products. They will play a key role in maintaining and improving site Quality systems and will utilise their knowledge of food safety, quality and food legislation.
Maintaining up-to-date records and information is a key component of this role and the individual appointed will create monthly Technical and Quality reports, maintain the internal/external non-conformances database and update weight reports and matrix. The Quality Co-ordinator will carry out internal GMP Audits, and complete Quality and Compliance checks within Manufacturing. They will conduct Traceability exercises and oversee Internal and External product sampling.
There will be a further requirement to verify and validate Allergen information and ensure checks/tests are being carried out in accordance with stated schedules. The Quality Co-ordinator will support the Quality and Technical team with BRC, EHO, and Retailer Audits, and will investigate complaints, generating reports and determining 'root cause' of issues. There will be a requirement to assist with maintaining Pest Control and COSHH records and deputise for Quality Technicians in their absence.
We are keen to hear from an individual with some previous experience of working within the Quality / Technical function for a Food Manufacturing business. This is a varied role where the Quality Co-ordinator will learn new skills and quickly become a key member of the Quality team.
Although this is a temporary role for a period of between 6 - 12 months, it will provide training opportunities and the individual who takes on this role will leave the business with a skillset that will be valuable to the next food manufacturer they work for.
This role is based in Kent and is commutable from: Dartford, Swanley, Bromley, Croydon, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Borough Green, West Malling, Orpington, Biggin Hill, Oxted.
