Description

The Project Manager has the overall responsibility and authority for the implementation and execution of Customer projects. This includes having a complete understanding of the project scope and requirements and having ownership for timely approvals, timely delivery, profitability, price uplift and final hand off. The Project Manager has responsibility for developing the Project Plan and is responsible to the Customer, the Contractor, the Local Business Partner or Sales Office and the Company for overall success and execution of the project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and own several KOB1 - large, highly complex, and multi-national projects during pursuit and execution phases as well as KOB2 projects (medium complex projects).
• Lead a virtual Multi-Functions Project Team from different groups (GPP/GIS, Sales office, Order Administration, Engineering, Drafting, Enterprise Project Planner, Specification Analyst, Project Procurement, Manufacturing & Intercompany project management) throughout the life of the project.

• Host & lead the quotation strategy meetings with Project Team & sets proposal schedule with due dates.

• Lead the negotiation of the initial scope of the project, change orders, progress payments, understand commercial terms and conditions and all additions or expansions to the project with the Customer, Local Business Partner/Sales Office and Global Industry Sales personnel.
o Quote and own the Lead-Time and Comments to the Manufacturing Specs during the pursuit phase
§ Approve the lead-time commitment, especially during negotiations
§ Approve any deviations to the Comments to the Manufacturing Specs and understand comments to the Commercial T&C’s, Legal T&C’s and Technical Product Spec
§ Participate in joint project review/discussion with the pursuit teams

§ Lead internal and external communication meetings at End User / EPC locations/countries, intercompany locations to ensure alignment on project schedule & execution plan
o Lead the Customer Post Award meeting (or Pre-PO meeting) with end users / EPCs when the order is committed to Emerson
o Lead the Internal Kick-off Meeting with Virtual Project Teams (Project Pipe Team) and resource managers to resolve all open issues and provide clarity to the Execution Plan
o Coordinate the Pre Inspection meeting with the end user’s Inspector, EPC QC team, TPIs and achieve clarity to the inspection requirements and process.

§ Drive the Project team to conduct & complete the PO-to-Quote reconciliation process, which includes resolving all issues prior to PO Acceptance.

§ Work with Enterprise Project Planner & Resources Managers to develop the overall Project Plan that includes schedules, milestones, procurement strategy, execution strategy, financial targets, resources, communications and considerations of risks.
§ Insure the project team is aligned with project plan & conduct regular progress reviews meetings with them

§ Ensure alignment with the Customer on the Fisher Commitment Dates and the Customer PO Dates including milestone dates for drawing and procedure submittals, drawing and procedures approvals, equipment inspection notifications, and “Ready for Inspection” dates.

§ Effectively provide leadership for Virtual Project Team (Project Pipe Team) including plant project personnel who are responsible for executing portions of the project. Provide input for performance evaluations on the projects handled.

§ Establish and manage financial targets and metrics for the project with the help of the Project Financial Analyst.

§ Coordinate manufacturing sites by taking into account material costs, project site location and best cost country capabilities through effective planning, scheduling and management. Interface with project procurement manager, factory project teams and interco project teams for this purpose.

§ Interface and continuously communicate with the Customer, Contractor and LBP throughout the life of the project to provide updates, milestones, and progress.

§ Work with the KOB3 Team, LBPs to finalize completion of the project including the MRO handoff and documentation.

§ Conduct close-out meetings with customers, EPCs once the execution is completed.
EHS Responsibilities:
§ Consider EHS risks in decision-making and model safety as a core value every day.

§ Report EHS concerns and/or unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors immediately to a supervisor and escalate further, as needed.

§ As necessary, complete applicable safety training.
§ Understand and execute safety-related responsibilities, as outlined in training, safety procedures, policies, and standards.
§ Use only equipment/chemicals/processes for which they have been trained.
§ Know the hazards of your job and follow your training to control associated risks.
§ Actively participate in EHS continuous improvement activities (e.g. safety & health audits, safety committees, focused improvement teams, process improvement projects, etc.).

Additional Information


Customers

• Internal: Project Managers, Project Pipe teams including GPP, GIS, Sales office, (Engineers, Management), Manufacturing (Engineers, Management, Purchasing, Planning, Quality) Order Admin, Order Engineering, Field Service, Finance, Product Engineers & Factory project teams.
• External: Local Business Partners (OA’s & Sales Engineers), EPC’s (Engineers, Project Managers, Procurement, QC), Direct Customers (Process Engineers, Design Engineers), Project Managers, VPs, General Managers, Purchasing/Procurement, TPIs.

Travel

• Will be required based on project demands. Travel will be required to customer offices, end user sites, EPC engineering offices, sub vendors, various Fisher factories.

Experience

Essential
• 5-8 years experience in customer facing Project Management role, Inside Sales, &
Application Engineering in industrial valves business environment / field measuring instruments / Metering integrators / OEMs in Measurement & Flow metering. Valves business includes automated & engineered pipeline valves, control valves, safety relief valves. Customers serviced to include End Users / EPC Contractors in process industries (eg: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & refining & Power).

Desirable

• Experience in Control Valves preferred.
• Middle East experience would be preferred.
• Experience in Upstream oil & Gas

Languages

• English - Fluency required.
• Arabic - Will be an advantage
