A career in Learning and Development, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives that constantly improve the PwC experience. You’ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.

Our Project Management and Implementation team works with leaders in the learning and development organisation to effectively translate line of service and/or business unit priorities and strategies into learning solutions. You’ll be helping the team with the creation, design, development and implementation of customised learning solutions.

Reporting to the London Acceleration Centre (LAC) Director, the London Acceleration Centre (LAC) Learning and Development Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing quality and innovative learning solutions for LAC employees from inception through to business impact. This role will work with some degree of independence, will lead or contribute to various projects/teams and will have accountability for a wide variety of Line of Service technical programs.

As a trusted business advisor, the LAC L&D Manager will collaborate with National Line of Service L&D teams and business leaders to ensure the creation of quality, innovative solutions that utilize effective design and implementation approaches, and which are aligned to the firm’s strategic priorities

What you’ll create and do

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Contribute to shaping and executing LAC L&D strategy and programs in alignment with firm strategic priorities and Global AC standards
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, which include LAC business leads, practice leads, National L&D, HC, Global AC L&D, and others

Identify learning needs and develop appropriate learning strategies incorporating education and experiential solutions by consulting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Develop and execute implementation plans, including drafting communications, managing the translation process, liaising with local office contacts as appropriate and ongoing project management
• Collaborate with National L&D Program Managers on design and execution of LoS technical programs to ensure alignment with National programs as required

Represent LAC (and at times India AC) L&D in various committees, meetings, projects and work streams
• Work with LAC and practice SMEs to develop course content using appropriate instructional design including digital learning
• Manage LAC xLoS programs, such as Onboarding and Coaching and serve as an instructor and/or facilitator for the delivery of learning solutions, where appropriate
• Ensure applicable LAC programs are shared with other Acceleration Centres, as required

Actively identify opportunities and contribute to a “one firm” approach, leading to continuous collaboration amongst the Development and Talent group and other areas of HC
• Oversee and/or organize/deliver instructor briefings, instructor skills training and train-the-trainer events
• Ensure that critical success factors and project risks are identified and proactively managed (i.e. appropriate training needs analysis performed, specific learning objectives developed, use of appropriate design and delivery platform, identification of appropriate SME and resources, identification of appropriate target audience, timing, instructor profile, budget)

Provide "on-site" management of programs as required
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and make recommendations for future offerings
• Manage operational and compliance tracking, reporting, and remediation activities required for both the LAC and for the business
• Coach, manage, develop others (eg L&D project specialists, shared services staff)
• Leverage the PwC Global Network to share ideas, best practices and content, as appropriate

What you’ll bring to this role

• An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• CPA designation is an asset
• Strong consulting skills - specifically, the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and maintain collaborative relationships with staff at all levels

Strong project management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of the strategy and priorities of the business and how they translate into L&D priorities
• Ability to exercise judgment and ensure appropriate involvement of stakeholders
• Ability to use logic, creativity and innovation when developing solutions to problems, taking into account of any potential client impact
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work towards tight deadlines, including last minute changes, and alignment of resources to ensure priorities are met

Understanding of adult learning theory; learning needs and performance gap analysis; instructional design, development and implementation; and assessment/evaluation of learning
• Supervisory and Facilitation skills
• Ability to work with technology and/or learn new software
• A strong digital acumen
