Description & Requirements
Purpose of role:
To display a positive enthusiasm and demonstrate a real drive to make pragmatic- data-driven- timely improvements and decisions relating to Food Safety and Quality that support the site whilst protecting the Heinz Brand. To have recognised expertise in thermal processing.
Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure all finished product leaving Heinz control is of the correct standard by effective management of Finished product from Quarantines and Incidents
• Provide Problem solving skills to ensure root causes of incidents are understood and introduce preventative actions to ensure issues are not repeated.
• Identify and communicate top losses for Food safety and Quality KPIs including Right First Time- Cost of Quality and Complaints- ensuring appropriate improvement plans are in place.
• Have a full understanding of the KHMS process and its application to ensure structured improvements are identified and delivered across site
• Play a key role in maintaining- developing and improving systems to comply with requirements of external bodies
• Reduce operational risk by identifying opportunities to simplify and strengthen current practices and ways of working
Education & Experience:
• Educated to degree level in a Science based discipline (Food Science/ Microbiology)
• A detailed understanding of Thermal Processing (Sterilising and Pasteurising) is a dinstinct advantage
