Are you passionate about quality and change? Are you looking to roll up your sleeves and work directly with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels? The role of the Quality Improvement (QI) Facilitator working as part of the corporate QI Team, may be what you are looking for.
Main duties of the job
We are particularly looking for someone with an interest and experience in quality improvement to work with teams to embed QI across the Trust. The successful candidate will enable sustainable change through training and coaching. Your role will also include facilitating some key improvement projects, particularly those relating to the Brilliant Basics. The ability to work within a team, whilst managing your own portfolio of projects and training is essential.
Working for our organisation
As a Trust we have adopted the Quality, Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) programme; so training in this approach is desirable but more important is that you have practical experience of using QI methodologies. We are continuing to develop the use of LifeQI to provide staff with the tools as well as visibility of all QI projects.

Essential criteria
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
• Relevant post-graduate qualification
Previous experience:

• Worked in complex and multi-professional organisations
• Engaged and worked with multidisciplinary staff at different levels
Desirable criteria
• Facilitated group discussions and effectively managed group dynamics
Knowledge:
Essential criteria
• Knowledge of the NHS context
• Awareness of a QI approach
Desirable criteria
• Tools and techniques that can be used in organisational development, QI and change
Skills, abilities and attributes:
Essential criteria
• Self-aware and emotionally intelligent e.g. able to identify own strengths and limitations and understanding impact on others
• Ability to draw on relevant literature and theories to critique own practice

Other requirements relevant to the post

• Be prepared to travel between sites and work away from home on occasion
• Able to cope with a demanding and unpredictable work pattern
