About The Role
As Technical Manager and as part of Border’s Senior Management Team (SMT) you will be accountable for site food safety through creating, sustaining, and continually improving policies and procedures within the Quality Management System. You will be responsible for a team of three quality leads, so some experience in a technical role within food manufacturing with people leadership experience is needed. ?
You will be joining the Operations Management Team, helping to drive great performance throughout the factory with a balanced scorecard approach. At Border we believe in putting the Team before the I, winning together and facing challenges together, so a strong team mindset is needed. Food safety is a team effort, so you will need to be able to form strong working relationships with colleagues to help inspire a strong food safety culture at all levels. Knowing when to challenge and when to support will be key.
We are a growing business with exciting ambitions. Being a champion of change, having a learning mindset and being able to prioritize is vital. You will be given the autonomy to set Border’s food safety culture strategy, and will be responsible for coaching, developing and supporting your team to help drive this.
