The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and driving strategies to ensure continuous improvement of quality management system, processes and product quality. To meet and sustain compliance with customer requirements and business needs, and with related standards and regulations.
To act as the Quality champion and employees’ awareness of quality culture across the site by promoting Edwards and Atlas Copco Quality Policy.
As a member of the management team you will be collaborating with all levels within the PC operational environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Develops and sets up quality department strategies ensuring business and quality objectives and all company metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Environment) are met.
Drives continuous improvements activities through proactive reviews and observations by being responsible for leading all internal and external customer audits (in cooperation with other departments). This also includes identification and execution of corrective and preventative actions.
In cooperation with other departments drives and coordinates activities such as:
Resolving quality problems to increase customer satisfaction (resolves customer claims, FRACAS’s - failure reporting system and internal scrap, processes non-conformities, etc.),
Quality Circle, MRB (Material Review Board) processes,
Calibration; approving of engineering changes and Permits,
8D reports,
Quality Alerts issues and their implementation,
Separation, quarantine, and processing of non-conforming material/products,
Inspection (incoming inspection for external deliveries) of material/products where repeating non-conformance occurs.
Manages activities of processing, analysing and reporting of operational quality indicators (KPIs) related to the area of his/her responsibility (i.e. failure rate - FTTFR, First Pass Yield - FPY, warranty, internal scrap, etc.) for regular operational reporting, Monthly Pack, Site Quality Review (SQR), Product Quality Meetings (PQM).
Actively promotes awareness of ATEX requirements and coordinates and drives all activities ensuring that ATEX products are safe and meet all relevant requirements.
Manages human resources within the quality department, including selection, recommends staffing levels and changes in accordance with company and departmental mission, coaching, discipline, manpower planning and motivation of staff.
Builds high performance team culture by providing regular performance feedback to manufacturing team employees, follows yearly appraisal process (Performance Review), proposes salary increase and awards.
Is responsible for Vacuum Technique Production System (VTPS) enhancement within designated area.

 Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

Technical university or degree in Quality/Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or comparable physical Science discipline.
Solid experience in an international manufacturing company. Work based experience in Quality Management & Systems with knowledge of ISO 9001 management systems working in diverse roles within quality with a successful history of implementing quality initiatives.
Kaizen or Six Sigma knowledge and practical experience, including knowledge of industry recognized quality tools and their application and usage in problem solving processes, projects and programs.
Able to analyse and present data and facts in a clear and concise way with a good level of quality statistical knowledge and experience.
Strong influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills both internally and externally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, orientation in modern IT structures and processes. SAP knowledge is an advantage.
Fluent written and spoken English.
