Job Summary:

As the Head of Operational Excellence and Change, you will leading the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of business processes at an enterprise level. As a strategic leader, you will be key driver of improving business processes, provide direction and leadership to implement the change and partner across Central 1 to transform the organizational behaviours and the way we work.

What you'll be doing:

Create a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of the organization in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Create integrated and enterprise plans for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness across departments, functions and processes
Recognize business needs and determine solutions to business problems at the business unit strategic level. Determine best approach to create and maintain alignment and lead and coordinate the business unit wide improvement efforts for the work.
Work with senior leaders to rethink the business model for a line of business and to implement innovative improvements/disruptions with the potential to impact its long-term strategy.
Provide authoritative specialist advice to senior leaders at the business unit to enable the implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives.
In service of the business sponsor, lead the development and implementation of a long-term continuous improvement strategy to ensure that intended business benefits are realized and tracked within and across programs.
Drive agility by constantly upskilling populations, and by creating a climate across a meaningful portion of the organization conducive to "testing and learning"
Identify the need for change with the organization or part of the organization; shape a vision, mobilize commitment, and monitor progress to achieve desired outcomes.
Enhance metrics, and measurement discipline to measure operational excellence, leveraging organizational health index (OHI) and client net promoter surveys

What you'll have:

Undergraduate degree in a business administration, management or engineering
At least 10 years experience in a leadership role
Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
Knowledgeable in leveraging insights to share and drive critical initiatives
Highly effective at developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Proven track record of creating new and better ways for an organization to be effective using approaches such as Lean and Agile
Ability to make good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
Comfort in relating openly with diverse groups of people and maintains productive relationships
Engaging leadership style which motivates teams to their best work through clearly communicating expected outcomes, confirming accountabilities and providing praise and credit for contributions
Ability to make progress across multiple priorities by securing and deploying resources effectively and efficiently
