We are looking for a Project Manager at the Grand Canyon! The Project Manager will complete projects at the direction of the Senior Project Manager of Engineering or Director.

Responsibilities

-Assume management responsibilities for all assigned maintenance and engineering projects at the Grand Canyon - South Rim.
-Assist in the execution of all assigned Capital Account projects from conception through completion, maintaining all required financial information and required documentation including scopes of work, RFP’s, bids and proposals, contracts, certificates of insurance, invoicing, leasehold surrender interest documentation, project photographs, inspection results, submittals, and RFI’s.
-Assures projects meet all budget and schedule requirements of Xanterra and the National Park Service
-Assist in the planning and bidding for new construction, remodels, Outsourced Maintenance, and equipment installation, using contractors or Company staff.
-Assist in the planning and evaluation of proposed capital improvements.
-Work closely with National Park Service Project Managers on engineering projects, abatements, and compliance issues.
-Assist in compiling data for the Company’s annual Capital Expense Account (CEA) project list and Repair and Maintenance Reserve project list.
-Maintain daily logs of ongoing project activity.
-Ensure that departmental and contracted projects are complying with all Company, NPS, and Federal laws and regulations regarding HAZMAT, HAZCOM, risk management, confined space, lockout-tagout, ergonomics, ADA access, and vehicle use.
-Ensures that newly installed assets are accurately recorded in the company’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), and that retired assets are removed from the CMMS and Xanterra’s fixed asset system.
-Comply with all company and NPS environmental policies and procedures.
-Commit to the Company’s Environmental Policies and Procedures.
-Responsible for Manager on Duty, as assigned.
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

-Minimum three-years experience as facility manager in a multi-unit facility, preferably a hotel/resort operation, or a minimum of three years experience in the construction management field.
-Knowledge of physical plant operations including boilers, generators, pumps, water/waste treatment, gas/fuel lines, and power lines.
-Ability to read blue prints
-Knowledge of construction, mechanical and specialized trade skills and their current codes.
-Project management experience including cost estimating, bid notices, and contract negotiations.
-Experience with Word, Excel, and various engineering software programs.
-Knowledge of rules, regulations, and laws concerning environmental issues, risk management, and safety.
-Must possess the physical agility to ascend/descend a ladder or scaffolding, tour construction sites, and enter confined space.
-Possess or obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License within 90 days of start date and comply with Xanterra South Rim Company Vehicle Policy.
