Job Description
-Function - Operations
-Work Location - Dhahran / Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia
-Department - MRO Rigs and Vessels
-Reports to Construction Manager
Minimum Experience
-Candidate must be willing to relocate in Saudi Arabia on SMP & residential contract.
-At least 10 years in Shipyard, Ship Repair, or the Oil & Gas Construction Industry
Key Accountabilities:
-Ensure all project works are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
-Coordinate/prepare, implement, and manage any required project related engineering method statements and execution plans.
-Prepare, submit, monitor, and control project technical queries.
-Ensure that labor resources are effectively and efficiently utilized in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
-Investigate labor and other productivity variances and report to the construction manager or project manager.
-Monitor all elements of work execution and provide input to the planning department as necessary.
-Liaise and coordinate with Engineering, QC, customer, vendors, and subcontractors as required to ensure smooth integration of services with production.
-Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) responsibilities.
-Be aware of the risk management system, the risk registers, and the respective responsibilities assigned.
-Coordinate and supervise project related activities on site with supervisors and trades as required
Education
BSc in Engineering, Technical Engineering Diploma/Qualification, or higher.
Professional Qualifications
Piping related production courses (I.e. Inspection and Testing, Elements of Piping Engineering, Overview of Piping Components, Etc.)
Competencies
-Can read and understand isometric drawings, As-built drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions.
-Can supervise pipe spool fabrication, installation, removal, repair, and testing works as per approved drawings.
-Able to take the lead and solve onsite technical issues and to monitor and close punch list items raised by customer.
-Able to be the focal point and coordinate between Engineering, QC piping engineer, customer, and vendors as required.
-Able to gather and analyze relevant information and coordinate work with other team members.
-Shipyard, Ship Repair, and Oil & Gas Construction.
-Construction Engineering and Documentation (work completion certificates, daily reports, etc.).
-Relevant international standards, ABS, ASME, API, ANSI, BSI etc.
-Knowledge of regulatory body rules and standards.
-Planning and Scheduling.
-Estimating and quotation.
-Negotiating and resolving conflict.
-Problem solving and mitigation.
-Assessing contractual needs and requirements.
-Oral and written English communication skills.
-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
