About the Role

The Team Manager Continuous Improvement (Impact) oversees the management of the day-to-day activities for a +5-analyst sub-team that will be focused on supporting the research teams with projects, process- and technology improvements. Since it is a new team, it is important for the Team Manager to be able to set direction and create a vision for the team.
Typically, the Team Manager works closely with his or her manager and team of Continuous Improvements Analysts, as well as with internal Sustainalytics’ stakeholders to ensure that all the agreed-upon research commitments are met. The Team Manager is ultimately responsible for the team’s delivery and quality. He or she will be accountable for coaching/guiding the new team and ensuring the performance, productivity, and efficiency of the team is up-to-par.

The ideal candidate should preferably be able to work in a fast-paced, international, technical environment, and have a coaching type of leadership. The ability to communicate clearly at all levels, form strong relationships with stakeholders and proactively identify and manage risks is also essential in this role. The Impact Continuous Improvement Team is part of the Impact Pillar which is part of the global Sustainalytics research department. The Team Manager will report to the Impact Pillar Lead, located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Job Responsibilities


• Build and lead an international team of 5+ ESG Continuous Improvement Analysts by providing clear direction, establishing SMART goals, and optimizing resource allocation.
• Effective management and allocation of Continuous Improvement Analysts, including escalation resource challenges to the Impact Pillar Lead.
• Monthly reporting to senior management on projects, performance of business processes and tools, covering relevant KPIs.
• Hiring/onboarding of new Continuous Improvement Analysts and ensure the development of the necessary technical and content skills to Capacity building and talent management within the team.
• Act as main point of contact for his or her entire team for all questions, comments and concerns.
• Identifies areas for improvement for the research with the Impact Pillar.

•Develop expertise in understanding the technical platforms supporting to the ESG Impact Research and be able to document ICT research requirements.
• Lead drafting and maintenance of Impact Pillar relevant business process documentation/mapping and SOPs;
• Lead monitoring and maintenance of quality management system/tools for the Impact Pillar, including Root Cause Analyses and lead the monthly issue management sessions with PSD and Client Relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across global teams and offices.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in running and managing projects and creating project progress reports.
• At least 5 years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong business process management/improvement experience and knowledge (LeanSixSigma).
• Experience and knowledge of quality management systems and tools.
• Technical expertise related to excel macros, python and SQL.
• Knowledge of sustainable and responsible investment and debt capital markets.
• Mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical skills, analytical entrepreneurialism and critical thinking are key.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced international environment.

• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps is an asset.
