Cardrona Alpine Resort is on the search for a motivated, organised and experienced Chef to cook and prepare exceptional dishes for our guests at our Wanaka Après kitchen!
This team create mouth watering breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes in a range of cuisines and dietary requirements. With a strong work ethic and the ability to produce dishes from a menu day to day while maintaining a high level of presentation and cleanliness are all part of the position. Après is a tight-knit team so clear communication and organisational skills in a fast paced environment are essential to the smooth running of this kitchen.
The skills, knowledge and experience required for this role include:
• Previous knowledge and experience preparing and cooking a variety of cuisines and food styles including dietary requirements including knife handling skills
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef
• Comprehensive knowledge on food handling practices, safe food hygiene and of Food Control Plans
• Ability to work diligently and proficiently and manage time in a fast-based environment
• Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes, portion control, present food to a high standard
• Ensure all communication and interactions are clear and conducted in a personable and professional manner
• Experience working in a team and providing support to other staff
