Description
The Dow Chemical company has a great and challenging opportunity for an Improvement Engineer (m/f) within the Light Hydrocarbons and Energy (LHC) department in Terneuzen, the Netherlands.
The purpose of the job is to provide plant level improvement project support, in gathering data, evaluating improvement opportunities (=TICA work process), and implementing improvement projects in GPM (global project methodology) and SPP (small project process) roles. Besides that you are responsible for implementation of plant level improvements aligned with the Global Technology Plan and providing Business value. Further responsibility is that identified asset utilization gaps are closed and Maximum Asset Capability (MAC) is increased.
Key Job responsibilities:
• Identifies and evaluates opportunities for improvement (TICA)
• Fulfils Manufacturing Representative Role for Global project Methodology Projects
• Implement Most Effective Technology (M.E.T.); takes care of safe start-up and operation procedures. Implements operating discipline and trains operation
• Implements projects identified in Plant Specific Technology Plan
• Subject Matter Expert for appointed area of expertise (plant, area, equipment, processes)
• Management of Change (M.O.C.) owner for appointed areas
• Applies advanced trouble shooting and assists operation when needed
• You as an engineer will have right from the start, a clear opportunity to co-shape our success.
• We need you for a wide spectrum of technology challenges. Going from improving existing plants, to process optimization by challenging boundaries and current practices on to an innovative design of new facilities.
Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical Engineering
• Fluent in English & Dutch
