A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will encompass project management and communications, leveraging product understanding and data skills to fulfil and drive the successful delivery of new and innovative commercial projects across the Food Group, particularly supporting bbcgoodfood.com and olivemagazine.com.
Working with the relevant editorial, commercial, product and data teams, the Project Coordinator will ensure that all brand projects are executed within agreed time frames and fulfilling the project KPIs. The role requires demonstrable client management, prioritising workloads, creating timelines, analysing data, managing budgets, securing resource and escalating potential challenges, in a proficient manner.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:


Project management:

• Take project ownership of cross-departmental brand projects across all areas of the Food Group, to support agreed business objective
• The Project Coordinator will guide and set the momentum for the wider Food Group, cementing processes for new projects and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth cadence of progress and feedback.
• Evaluating project flow, the Project Coordinator will ensure that all brand projects have the best personnel involved, to make effective decisions.
• Collaborate with internal resource and external suppliers to create accurate and achievable project timelines and identify areas of potential delivery risk.
• Producing project plans for the team to ensure delivery of projects is timely and efficient.
• Attending project calls and providing concise meeting summaries where required, along with clear actions to ensure the projects progress
• Regularly report on delivery and key metric for campaign
• Liaising with the central teams to support the smooth running of Central Projects

Product delivery:

• Ensure digital brand extensions and partnerships meet the Group’s standards of quality and performance.
• Coordinating acceptance testing of new functionality, staying across a detailed roadmap of development and liaising across various internal teams, as well as communicating with external agencies
• Clearly communicating progress and feedback to project and development teams

Insight management:

• Work with the data analyst to inform business investments in innovation and help to shape future digital delivery across the group.
• Become familiar with various insight tools to support in the analysis of audience insights and interpreting the findings into usable actions for the team and business.
• Facilitate the efficient use of resources across multiple projects and monitor trends with the data team to ensure project goals are met.
• Replying directly to users who provide feedback on new products

Problem Solving:

• The ability to anticipate issues before they arise
• Flag issues to senior stakeholders in a timely fashion and find a workable solutions where required
• Show a confident and proactive attitude to problem solving
• Outcomes orientated approach, focusing on the successfully achieving the product, commercial, and brand KPIs

Relationship Building:

• The Project Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external teams, analysing the brand requirements to ensure that projects align with the overall business strategy.
• Form and continuously develop relationships with the editorial, commercial, central and the data team, as well as manage external relationships.

A BIT ABOUT YOU

• Hold demonstrable experience of coordinating and delivering multi-faceted projects, preferably from a digital media background.
• The ability to self-supervise and motivate in order to deliver to demanding targets from a predominantly remote working environment.
• Strong time management skills
• Able to clearly communicate the project goals to all stakeholders
• Be a team player with a real sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills internally and externally
• Professional approach and experience working across several different digital disciplines.
• A good command of project management processes and methodologies
