Change Manager

About the team
Hiscox is a global specialist insurer underwriting a range of commercial and personal risks. Hiscox has grown from a single underwriter based at Lloyd's into a FTSE 250 company with 32 offices across 14 countries and customers around the world, with its headquarters in Bermuda.
The People and Business Change (P&BC) team, within which this roles sits, is responsible for all change management activities for our IFRS 17 programme. This includes all training and business communication activities for those impacted by the regulatory changes being implemented. The key to the success of the team is our ability to communicate the change that is coming and achieve the buy-in and readiness of those that will be adopting the change as well as helping the business to embed the new solution following go-live.
The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to work within the People and Business Change team. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders.
You will need to deliver a series of change management activities based on a largely defined approach to identify and manage the key changes that will impact Finance, non-Finance, IT teams and external stakeholders and then plan and execute the training, communication and other change management activities.
What you’ll be doing
• Working closely with the P&BC Subject Matter Expert, produce a Change Impact Assessment that articulates what is changing and who is impacted by the changes
• Working with the Training Manager to develop a Training Needs Analysis and Training Plan outlining the requirements for training across those individuals impacted by the relevant technology release
• Developing and executing a Communication Plan across to support the delivery of communications to a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Capturing a log of changes/activities (beyond the scope covered by training and communication) that BAU/non-project teams need to complete in order to be ready for go-live
• Supporting the development and tracking of Business Readiness Criteria as part of a Business Go-live Checklist
Our must haves
• You will be able to demonstrate that you have experience of embedding change on large scale programmes
• You need to be talented at juggling multiple and at times competing priorities from a variety of stakeholders, with good influencing skills and an ability to bring together thinking from multiple stakeholders
• Your ability to communicate will be key and success will lie in your skill to translate complex things into simple messages, understand what stakeholders will want to know, and accommodate different levels of detail to the appropriate stakeholders
• You need to be commercially aware, and be comfortable making recommendations in a clear and actionable way
• Experience of working within the insurance or financial service industry is preferable and an understanding of how an insurance organisation operates
Diversity and Working Patterns
At Hiscox we care about our people. We hire the best people for the job and we’re committed to diversity and creating a truly inclusive culture, which we believe drives success. We have also learned over the past 15 months that working life doesn’t always have to be in the office, and when it’s safe to do so, we will be introducing hybrid ways of working to encourage a healthy work life balance.
We anticipate the successful candidate for this role will be in the office up to 3 days a week. We see it as the best of both worlds: structure and sociability on one hand, and independence and flexibility on the other.
