Job Description

In the role as the Regulatory Specialist Food & Algae EMEA you contribute significantly to ensuring Corbion’s "License to Sell", with a strong focus on our Food & Algae portfolios. Using your experience in the food and feed industries, you proactively enable Corbion to maintain products in the required markets and to introduce new products. In addition, you provide input to enable efficient regulatory decision-making and support innovation. You will work closely with our Regulatory Manager Food & Algae EMEA and report to the Regulatory Director EMEA.

Responsibilities


Support the business

• Make statements on regulatory positions
• Do Regulatory Freedom to Operate reviews
• Handle ad hoc regulatory issues for (new and existing) food and feed ingredients

Participate in projects

• Initiate and lead regulatory file development and submission for food and algae business
• Manage food contact projects
• Act as regulatory knowledge center

Compliance

• Conduct regulatory compliance evaluations for food and feed products.
• Identify strategic market/country combinations on basis of risk assessment and make sure these combinations have license to sell

Communication

• Manage communication with consultants and industry experts
• Represent the regulatory function on cross-functional product innovation teams

About You

• A degree in food technology, nutritional sciences, chemistry, or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in the food industry in EMEA; feed experience would also be ideal
• Knowledge of product innovation and business processes
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational kills
• Team player with experience working on cross-functional teams
• Currently based within the EU
