We are now looking for Senior Process Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Senior Process Engineer reports to the Department manager.
Job Overview
The Senior Process Engineer is needed to support the execution of local projects. He is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.
In your role, you will execute process engineering projects in a safe manner, budget, schedule, and quality.
You should have a desire to work on multi-discipline local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by working together with the assigned discipline designers and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Develops design basis and process design criteria;
• Performs regular site visits to operating plants to support project scope development;
• Develops and reviews Heat and Material Balances (H&MB);
• Develops and reviews Process Flow Diagrams (PFD's) / Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's);
• Performs hydraulic analyses by the use of Excel Spreadsheets / steady-state software(s)
• Conversant with Process Simulation Software like Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys, Flarenet, Pipenet, Pipesim, HTRI, others; (OLGA Added Advantage)
• Conversant with the Engineering Stds such as API, NFPA, ASME, BS / EN, etc. and Client Stds such as SHELL, MOBIL, etc
• Develops Process Descriptions, Operating and Control narratives, and other documents.
• Acts as Representative in Technical Design Reviews (Plot Plan, P&ID's, others);
• Acts as Representative in Technical Design Reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, SIL, Constructability Review, others as per requirement);
• Strictly adheres to industry standards, codes and engineering practices and different Company’s engineering guidelines;
• Assists the appointed manager in project activities, control of man-hours, and review in any change in scope of work;
• Guides the Engineers Team under supervision/ Draftsmen in requested tasks, as required;
• Ensures proper Quality Control & Quality Assurance activities including adherence to applicable project plan/project quality plan/QM procedures;
• Carry out any other duties as advised by management in view of business requirement;
• Cooperating with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas
• Advise to appointed if any technical problems and unresolved differences with other colleagues;
• Be aware of project schedules to ensure that dates of submission, rates of progress, and design periods are feasible to commit;
• Performs the allocated tasks to an agreed schedule, seek new opportunities, and request assistance where necessary;
• Ensures requirements of Licensor's/ Client's secrecy agreement are known and complied with the work performed;
• Alerts to Project Manager to circumstances within an ongoing Project that could constitute a change order;
• Ensures that deliverables are provided to the project are technically accurate, within the scope.
• Prepares process summaries and schedules (effluents & emissions, chemical, and catalyst, utilities, adequacy checks, tie ins, relief valves summary);
• On request, reviews the vendor's quotations from a process engineering standpoint. On order placement, review supplier's documentation and provide comments.
• Checks the piping engineering deliverables created by Designers and Drafters
Qualifications
• Engineering Graduate (BEng, BSc. or MSc.) in Chemical or Technical related degree.
• Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas Industry.
• Minimum of 8 years in a senior role
• Good leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
• Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during the peak of the project.
• Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution
• UAE local experience is added value.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in the English language
