Due to our recently started projects in Ridderkerk we are looking for a:
Project Quality and Safety Manager
Are you a Project Quality and Safety Manager who wants to work in the dynamic and growing environment of the Dutch rail transport? Are you client focused as well as quality and service minded? Are you capable of managing customer and project quality issues independently and proactively? Can you lead a diversity of people from a non-hierarchically position? Based at our location in Ridderkerk you will be part of the SHEQ team which consists of 9 colleagues. You will report directly to the Country Quality & EHS Manager.
What are your tasks?
• Support the project manager in the deployment, embedding and application of the Alstom procedures (incl. monitoring and guarding of the application of Alstom project KPI’s and stimulation of the team to improve).
• Define, embed and applicate of a Project (Software) Quality Plan, enforcing the (non)-quality communication channels, procedures, reports and formats.
• Assure application of customer Non Conformity Report (NCR), internal NCR and supplier NCR processes in cooperation with Project Manager and other Quality members.
• Assure the management and registry of non-quality and safety issues through the 8D method and the Alstom Problem Solving Tool (“K1...K5” rated issues); Push for issue containment/mitigation, root cause, retrofitting the solution and compiling REX (Return of Experience).
• Have regular progress meetings with customers
• Report to project management and country level the effectiveness of mitigations, actions and application of procedures.
• Perform project audits and assessments and report accordingly. Contributing in the execution of action plans and to make improvements due to (internal/external) audit findings;
• Organize, manage, report and follow-up of First Article Inspections at externally developed (sub)systems which are part of the projects deliverables.
• Ensure that suppliers take the right actions in case of serious defects in processes or product characteristics.
• Travel between customer owned depot’s, Alstom site(s) and customer site(s) to ensure alignment of processes and resolving of project quality issues.
What will you bring?
• Bachelor’s degree (ing.) in a technical related study (e.g. Electronics);
• Minimum 5 years of experience a relevant industry developing electrical systems and mechanical works; preferred previous experience in the rail industry;
• Work experience as a Quality Engineer is a plus but not a must;
• Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and Entity in Charge of Maintenance is a plus;
• Good knowledge of quality tools (e.g. root cause analysis (like e.g 8D), audit, PDCA-cycle, FMECA, LEAN, etc.) is a plus;
• Good communication skills, written and verbal, in Dutch and English
• Analytical thinker, indirect leadership and influecing skills.
