Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for the quality control of the plant in Zaandam - ZOR) In this role, you will be responsible for the quality control laboratory performance using quality data combined with a product quality expertise. You will proactively inform the internal and external stakeholders and you will report in to the FSQR lead. In this role you have one direct reports.
Key Accountabilities
• Work with senior staff to address customer requirements and concerns, as well as collaborate on internal and external audits
• With one direct report, and 2-3 indirect reports, lead the quality control processes for the plant, overseeing the routine quality procedures and quality data and assure reliability of data including methodology and analysis execution.
• Lead routine operational testing of incoming materials, in process and final goods, delivering accurate and timely results to enable decision making, supporting the production analyses to ensure efficient operations and producing corrective action for final products.
• Collaborate with business and location professionals on research projects and act as a domain specialist in food quality related projects or trouble shooting activities either as a team member or as a project lead.
• Oversee laboratory safety by implementing safety standards, undertaking verification of safety control effectiveness and leading continuous improvement.
• Lead laboratory continuous improvement initiatives by developing analytical optimization, developing and implementing lead and lag key performance indicators and ensuring clear objectives in place.
• Collaborate with the laboratory development team on calibration and validation of new and improved methods.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff

Qualifications
MInimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years of directly related work experience
• Good communication skills and experience in customer care
• Basic knowledge of food safety and ISO’s
• Experience in mentoring / coaching colleagues
• Good level of English, both in writing and verbally
