**This is a Contract position serving around 5 hours a month**
Purpose:
Ensures the promotion of health and control of disease of the clients through proper education and assessments tailored to each client’s constitution and, in particular, their traumatic brain injury and the effects thereof.
Responsibilities:
• In service education for staff, clients, and their families
• Monitor, review, update, make recommendations, and modify menus and food purchasing
• Nutritional assessment of client with recommendations as to appropriate calorie intake
• As needed, direct counseling of clients and their families
• Monitoring of food safety and sanitation
• Ensuring compliance to legal requirements
• Consulting on other food service related areas
• Agree to follow all ALF Standards
• Consulting on issues regarding quality assurance
• Assisting in health promotion and disease control
• Provide individualized consulting tailored to the client’s constitution and, in particular, their traumatic brain injury and the effects thereof
Qualifications
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities to accomplish the above stated goals
• Education: Degree with course work approved by ADA’s Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education
Physical Requirements:

Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, frequent sitting, standing and walking, may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain.
