We’re looking for a skilled Accountants Payable Manager with strong ability to multi-task to join our result driven team in Breda, NL. This is a full time permanent position and offers many exciting challenges to grow your career

The Opportunity:

The Manager, Accounts Payable EMEA will be the key point of contact for all Accounts Payable related functions for over 30 Ritchie Bros entities within the EMEA region. Responsible for training, leading, managing and supporting a team of 7 Administrators and 2 Reviewers, maximizing individual strengths and promoting a culture of of operational excellence, with continuous improvement of the systems, processes & procedures and performance. In this role you’ll:
-Manage, coach and motivate the accounts payable team.
-Oversee accounts payable work and monitor the consistency of general ledger coding, appropriate signing authority, prompt and accurate payment to vendor.
-Facilitate the Month-end AP close for all EMEA entities.
-Process, coordinate and/or approve all month-end reports, such as R&M report, AP to General ledger reconciliation, AP to PO reconciliation, etc.
-Ensure SOX compliance of systems, processes and procedures while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
-Provide accounts payable requirements to both internal and external auditors
-Plan and develop systems and procedures to improve the operational quality and efficiency of the department, while keeping the global perspective in the development.
-Ensure training materials are up to date and provide training sessions when required.
-Review, validate and approve Accounts Payable Batches. Ensure accuracy in invoice processing, supplier maintenance and Expense Report Administration.
-Liase with key stakeholders such as Operation managers and other finance managers to resolve issues and improve collaboration and performance.
-Promote a culture of operational excellence where skilled people are motivated and committed to the achievement of the AP Key Performance Indicators targets.
-Exercise ethical and objective judgment skills.

Here’s what you bring:

-A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
-Five or more years of accounting experience.
-Experience with leadership roles and display problem-solving capabilities, preferably on a Shared Services enviroment.
-Solid experience working with ERP systems. Oracle is an asset. Proficiency with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
-Very good communication skills. English is a must.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
-Strong analytical and time management skills.
-Organized, detailed-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
-A solid work ethic, without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to have fun on the job.
