JOB PURPOSE:

This role is known for supporting the UK GM to drive and manage change and strategic projects, as well as supporting on ad-hoc European projects if needed. This role will use standardised project management tools and leverage a strong network throughout the organisation, ensuring key business initiatives are delivered to plan. Projects and initiatives include driving transformation and business improvement.

The Role - Taking the Wheel at Hertz

BUSINESS IMPACT:

This role has an impact on the current and future state, improving earnings through ensuring the effective implementation of strategy and change initiatives

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Ownership for management of UK change projects, from concept through to implementation. Defines scope of projects in collaboration with stakeholders. Creates and owns detailed workplans to identify and sequence activity. Manages the project schedule, working with key stakeholders to allocate resources. Determines the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at completion.

TRACKING & REPORTING

Accountable for consolidating all UK change project reporting, presenting project status, highlighting risks, assumptions, actions, successes and failures to senior management to improve decision making. Provides a point of contact and conduit between projects and leadership

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Builds a strong network of trust as a critical partner to project owners and reliable source of information for senior leadership. Fostering open, inclusive relationships across the business to understand readiness and resistance to make change happen.


COMMERCIAL & STRATEGIC AWARENESS

Understands the drivers of commercial performance. Appreciates the relationship between projects and future success to ensure effective commercial and strategic decision-making. Challenges the status quo as needed

ANALYSIS & FINANCIAL AWARENESS

Understands project financials and P&Ls and able to conduct analysis to understand key drivers to enhance the commercial and financial decision-making process.
Ability to analyse various sources of information and draw solid conclusions/recommendations

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in project management
• Project Management qualification desirable, preferably experience of the Canvas Model
• Advanced Excel, data handling & analytics desirable
Prosci Change Management desirable
