Key Responsibilities:
• Manage operations of uniform orders and any other products purchased on group level for the group (cross BU), ensuring streamlined process from order entry, production, shipping, to receipt of goods received
• Identify, gather, analyze and summarize purchase requirements and demand, preparation of sourcing strategies and complex sourcing processes
• Responsible for alignment between BU, procurement and finance stakeholders to ensure order confirmation, PO raising and invoicing occurs on time.
• Ensure workflow and processes followed for consolidated orders to be placed twice a year and ad hoc orders (new and replenishment)
• Manage logistics of order shipments to ensure efficiencies cross-BUs, generating roll-out reports to stakeholders
• Ensure data inputted into ordering tool is correct and takes measures to rectify any discrepancies with stakeholders between Majid Al Futtaim and supplier
• Identify mandatory data necessary for content e.g. product (image, fabric details, sizing and measurement guide)
• Generate financial and volume reports and conducts analysis on orders for procurement, finance as needed
• Manage troubleshooting of online ordering tool, escalates to ensure problem solving with needed stakeholders (ie IT, vendor)
• Support the roadmap and budgets versus actual spend
• Providing on-going oversight of possible cost reduction on an annual basis
• Assess achieved rebates and manage collection of credit notes
• Manage supplier relationships including supplier performance
• Regular reporting of sourcing/negotiation strategies and outcome, sourcing recommendation and benefits
• Working closely with the Procurement Category Lead on fulfilling the individual Category Plan
Required Background:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably BE/B.Tech).
• Excellent command of English is a must, excellent command of Arabic (preferrable).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)
• Strong experience in supply chain
• Working knowledge of Procurement and Contract Management related software a plus
• Operational experience in textile organizations is preferable
• In-depth understanding and practiced best-in-class procurement processes, systems and practices
• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions and in country laws and regulations
• Must be capable of assessing legal and business risk when cross checking any contractual commitments
• Customer focused & takes time to understand the needs of the business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operational experience in working on SAP Ariba, ORACLE, etc..
