About the Role:
For the newly acquired site in Heerlen (NL), where expanded polyethylene (ePE) membranes are developed and manufactured, we are looking for an experienced Process Engineer (f/m/d) to drive and own various processes, willing to take initiative and with a sense of practical, long-term-oriented solutions. In this role you will establish a deep understanding of the overall process to develop new products and ensure high quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
• Establishing effective and stable process parameters and supporting flawless quality documentation
• Driving the continuous optimization of the manufacturing processes in collaboration with the production team through troubleshooting and root cause analyses
• Developing a deep understanding of the process impact on the product and optimizing the production equipment to create new or better functionality
• Contribution to the development and commercialization of new products, including transferring R&D processes to production
• Partnering with cross-functional and global teams, both as a team member and a project champion
• Contributing to the further development of this recently acquired site and shaping your work environment
• Contributing to the local MOC & HAZOP team and participating in an on-consignment schedule
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with strong affinity for process technology
• 3-5 years of experience in a comparable function in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of polymer and/or film technology
• Experience with project management and lean six sigma
• Team player, showing strong dedication to achieve results by using a pragmatic approach
• Willing to take initiative and able to flourish in a quickly changing environment
• Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive and influence
• Very good communication and organizational skills with strong team-player qualities
• Fluent communication in Dutch and English
