Job Description
As a Health, Safety and Environment Specialist you will be responsible for implementing the best corporate practices in labor safety, ensure compliance with legal and corporate requirements in terms of Health, Safety, Environment and Dangerous Goods in FedEx Express The Netherlands within the HSE-DG Benelux team
Key responsibilities:
• Monitor compliance with labor safety requirements.
• Develop plans and implement improvements of working conditions.
• Participate in checking the technical condition of equipment.
• Develop general instructions on labor safety.
• Organize investigations of injuries, spills and DG issues
• Provide reports as required by company and law.
• Participate and coordinate implementation of labour safety measures in accordance with corporate requirements and projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably labor safety or engineer.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 standards, legal requirements, risk assessments and workplace inspections.
• Dangerous goods knowledge - such as legal requirements (IATA CAT 6), training and Hazardous substances.
• Similar work experience from 3 years.
• English - Intermediate or higher.
• Strong PC skills.
• Personal characteristics:
