Description:

Performance Management Team (PMT) Business Partners facilitate the PMT process for Production Operations at the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Orlando site. We reshape our operations by engaging with our teams on a weekly basis as part of our quest for continuous improvement. Our Vision is to become a world class manufacturing site. Our PMT Mission is to empower teams to advance our business by transforming ideas into action. PMT Business Partners interact with cross-functional team members and site leadership at all levels to support, maintain, and improve the PMT process so that we can realize our Vision.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that team initiatives align with the Orlando Manufacturing Site Vision, the PMT Mission, and our business objectives
• Attending and facilitating weekly team meetings
• Acting as a liaison between team members, managers, and directors
• Advocating for team members who provide feedback to ensure that the voice of the employee is heard and items are addressed in a reasonable timeframe
• Guiding the team in the exploration of process improvement opportunities and assisting with the usage of lean six sigma (LSS) tools and techniques
• Driving accountability by reframing team ideas into agreed-upon actions
• Assisting team leaders and management in selecting team metrics
• Facilitating the goal-setting process as well as the goal modification process

• Assuring accuracy of savings packages and metric data
• Consulting with team leaders and team managers on team engagement, meeting management, team performance, and conflict resolution
• Coaching team members to embrace a growth mindset so they can discover new ways to make their team stronger and more effective
• Evaluating and reporting team performance to all levels of the organization, measuring and tracking progress to established goals, and challenging teams to drive continuous improvement
• Creating and presenting communication packages to establish buy-in for MFC, Orlando, and PMT initiatives
• Conducting metric training and team leader training
• Coordinating team recognition and award activities
• Leading or supporting special projects for the Orlando site and/or the MFC PMT Office
• Strengthening our cultural foundation by serving as a PMT brand ambassador who highlights our success stories
• Learning more about our MFC business and gaining a deeper understanding of how our twelve PMT sites connect in the value stream and enable Mission Success
• Exchanging best practices with PMT Business Partners at other MFC sites to improve our business results and strengthen the PMT process

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, machining, or production environment
• Lean six sigma (LSS) Green Belt certified or equivalent experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques
• Experience collecting, verifying and analyzing data from reporting systems
• Strong interpersonal skills, team-building skills, and the ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment
• Ability to develop and be comfortable presenting communication packages/messages to various audiences at multiple levels of the organization (both verbal and written)
• This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Lean six sigma (LSS) Black Belt certified
• Experience as a Team Leader for a PMT or an equivalent leadership role
• Proficiency in SAP and Apriso
• Familiarity with the manufacturing processes and organization structure at MFC Orlando
• Ability to train, mentor and coach employees on metric reporting systems
• Experience boosting team morale, motivating team members, organizing recognition events, and igniting team engagement
• Embraces a growth mindset, supports a learning culture, and enjoys helping others learn
• Strong customer service skills
• A passion for reshaping and evolving the PMT process to better fit the needs of our business
• Experience developing new business metrics
• Experience in developing and validating metric dashboards and reports
