The Opportunity
Based at our Darwin facility in Winnellie and reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the role of the Quality Coordinator is to champion quality assurance on site and lead and drive quality culture across the site, as well as provide onsite support to the site operations team, supply chain and production personnel as required and drive the continuous improvement process for Quality across the site.
Deliverables
• Assist Quality Manager to ensure Audits for Current External Certifications are completed in within the timeframe and Certification is maintained (HACCP, BRC, Woolworths Supplier Excellence and ALDI).
• Act as the site HACCP Team Leader, with overall responsibility for validation and verification of all food safety and quality systems within the Food Safety & Quality Management system, timely running of HACCP team reviews and distribution of minutes/actions.
• Assist with SOP development as required by regulation, external and internal audits and company requirements and ensure they are communicated and implemented
• Assess all Raw Materials (Chemical, Ingredients, Packaging etc.) Specifications, Intermediate Product / WIP Specifications, Manufacturing and Processing Specifications, Finished Product Specifications, Customer Specifications and Internal Specifications for compliance with regulations, GFSI standards and major customer standards and requirements, and for compliance with operational capabilities.
• Schedule and coordinate the monitoring of all site activities through audit, sampling, assessment, testing and analysis to ensure that raw materials, water, intermediate products, finished products, environment, equipment, facilities, personnel, procedures and records comply with regulations, GFSI standards and major customer standards and requirements.
• Investigate customer complaints, trends, unusual or serious complaints and foreign matter complaints and provide detailed investigation reports and assist in customer and consumer responses
• Development and delivery of quality training program as with regulations, GFSI standards and major customer standards and GF requirements
Experience & Qualifications
• Experience in food manufacturing
• HACCP Trained
• GFSI knowledge
• Auditing skills
• Experienced in Quality Management System
