Description

It’s an exciting time to join the project team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us accelerate the delivery of our strategic programmes and drive the adoption of unified Agile ways of working and more effective project delivery across UK&I we’re looking for a talented individual to join this growing team.
At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and any AXA office in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role you will be using your project management experience and excellent leadership skills to motivate and drive teams to develop and implement successful IT Change projects for our Guidewire insurance Programme.
As an enthusiastic and keen project manager, your ability to manage complex relationships with stakeholders during all aspects of the project, as well as maintaining strong project controls will be key. Our projects are delivered in a dynamic, agile environment. Your highly developed interpersonal skills and natural collaborative style will mean that you will be comfortable working with a wide range of specialist expertise, including Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, Architecture and Strategy through to Programme Management Office and Governance.

Qualifications

Significant experience of IT Project Management in a financial services organisation, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience of successfully managing third parties within the context of project delivery.
Proficiency in agile principles, methods, techniques, and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through implementation
Professional accreditation in project management (desirable)
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

Pay and Bonus:
We carefully consider our pay levels and carry out a review each year so you are paid fairly for what you do. When AXA does well, we share in its success and all employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus payment each year, dependant on individual and company performance.
Pension and Life Cover:
We want to help you actively plan for a financially healthy retirement, so we offer a Defined Contribution Pension Scheme. This means that we contribute to your pension fund depending on the amount you choose to pay in.
Holiday:
Work life balance is important. Our holiday entitlements start at a minimum of 22 days (plus bank holidays) dependent on the business area or the role, increasing up to 28 days (plus bank holidays) with length of service. Depending on which part of AXA you work in, there’s also flexibility to buy up to five additional days or sell up to three days, helping you to achieve the right balance for you.
