LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.

LDD is currently looking for a Project QHSE Lead to join the team in a full time, 6 month fixed term basis. Working alongside Acteon Integrated Services(AIS), you'll be part of the team delivering the largest & most complex projects across the Acteon Group.

Our ideal candidate will be based in Cornwall, but we are also open to candidates based in other locations where Acteon have a presence. IE Norwich/Aberdeen.

The primary purpose of this role is responsibility for the provision of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management for the marine and site construction works, ensuring the management of quality aspects to the Client specification/contract requirements, whilst ensuring at all times that the best interests of AIS are preserved.

Duties/Responsibilities

*Ensure the development, implementation and execution of the Project Quality Plan, the Project HSE Plan, ITP and QHSE objectives within the contracted work scope
*Understand and participate in support of the project practical and commercial aims, risks and opportunities through familiarization with the full scope of works, and particularly the detailed review of contract QHSE requirements
*Ensure work is conducted in full compliance with the LDD Integrated Management System QHSE policies, standards and procedures as well as any statutory requirements or obligations
*Ensure by audit that contractors and suppliers are competent to perform the work
*Review and approve contractors and suppliers quality plans and Inspection and Test plans and mark up with appropriate intervention points.
*Manage Acteon QC Inspectors relative to scope of work
*Review and approve Contractor and Supplier QHSE documentation and records
*Monitor and record the Goods Receipt and Material Traceability process
*Prepare and populate project HIRA and HAZID/SJA with Project Engineers/personnel where required
*Chair and attend HIRA/HAZID meetings, record issues raised and register, follow up to close out.
*In accordance with scope and project contract requirements assist in the development and maintenance of the Project Management Plan, Project HSE Plan, Project Quality Plan, Project Execution Plan, Risk Management processes and assessments, and assist in the development of the engineering deliverables and associated documents
*Liaise with Construction Project Manager, Construction Lead Engineer, Barge and Marine Superintendents, Quality Inspectors Fabrication, and Project HSE Advisor on a daily basis providing feedback and highlighting any areas of concern.
*Develop and maintain a project register to ensure all permits, licenses, authorisations, notification and consents are submitted/obtained/maintained from the relevant bodies

Required

*5 years relevant experience working in QHSE (Quality and/or Safety in the marine and subsea construction Industry
*Experienced and Qualified Lead Auditor
*Familiar with relevant national and international codes & standards
*Relevant experience in the following: Subsea structure fabrication and quality assurance, coating and paint systems inspection, inspection of sea-fastening and grillage arrangements, oversight of large marine structure loadouts and installation, inspection of installed structures and facilities, compilation of completion certification and as-built reports
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Ability to work under your own initiative and part as a team is essential
