We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Project Professional - Continuous Improvement to join our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
As a Lead Project Professional - Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day management of one or more SSNR Programme Integration & Infrastructure workstreams. You will also be responsible for defining, planning, managing and delivering assigned workstream scope to meet customer and business requirements.

This role will give you the opportunity to ensure that all aspects of the project workstream are fully defined to ensure requirements are achieved in accordance with all business and commercial criteria. This role will give you exposure to all areas of the project lifecycle so a opportunity to grow your own skill set and develop.

Your main responsibilities

Develop and maintain coherent, fully integrated and workable project plans and budgets. Develop resource plans and liaise with all stakeholder functions.
• Develop accurate estimates in support of bids, annual budgets or cost to completion, and analyse 'spend to date' data.
• Lead, control and monitor projects so that they are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality requirements, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against plan and where necessary, intervening to resolve issues which threaten delivery to plan.
• Develop, maintain and manage key relationships customers and other stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are achieved and that issues are effectively addressed.
• Ensure that activities on assigned workstreams are co-ordinated with related workstreams and functional activities so that delays are avoided.
• Lead a multi-disciplined team consisting of engineering, commercial, project management, ops etc, to ensure that both the customers and business requirements are met, whilst ensuring that all management/ commercial aspects are well documented.
• Ensure that projects adhere to all policies and procedures and that they are carried out in such a way as to minimise risk.
• Lead and manage the development, agreement and resolution of project risk, assumptions, dependencies and exclusions.
• Work to and support the Project Risk and Opportunity Management processes.

Your skills and qualifications:

Ideally an understanding & exposure to core business processes across the Submarine design and build lifecycle
Knowledge of current IM&T Systems to be able to apply Learn from Experience (LfE)
Experience in bringing cross functional teams together to achieve a common goal

Desirable skills

Understanding of Business change initiatives and how they are embedded into business as Usual
APM Qualification / Lean manufacturing qualification or similar
