Title: QUALITY HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (QHSE) COORDINATOR
Location: Houston Bush Intercontinental – Cargo Facility

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the QHSE Director, Cargo North America in a matrix organization supporting the General Manager for Cargo Warehouse Operations. QHSE Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the QHSE department activities including its administrative roles.

Job Responsibilities

Providing day to day QHSE Admin support General Manager and NOAM QHSE Team

· Observes, mentors, and coaches’ employees to correct at risks behaviors and reports findings
· Administer / Reconcile Company Safety Database Reporting
· Prepare and maintain required QHSE records and reports.
· Coordinate and compile audit findings shared from; industry, customer or company performed audits.
· Interfaces regularly with our customer's Health, Safety & Environmental and Training focal points to establish solid relationships while helping to drive common goals
· Maintain audit action items communicate their stat to relevant station/field locations.
· Assist in the development/deployment of QHSE Campaigns.
· Create and Distribute Local Safety Alerts, Audit Findings, Lessons Learned
· Assure new on the job injuries, equipment damage, property or environmental claims are communicated to the NOAM QHSE Team and appropriate Third Party Admins (TPA’s).
· Assist Legal Department during discovery requests as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies

· 2 Years in a Safety Responsible Role
· OSHA and/or DOT Knowledgeable, familiar with working in a regulated environment
· Able to deal with a wide range of situations and personalities, good interpersonal skills
· Able to work well under pressure and maintain a team spirit and cooperative attitude
· Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills and consistent
· Ability to move back and forth between the strategic and tactical aspects of the role, set priorities and produce results under challenging conditions with tight deadlines
· Strong verbal, auditory & written communication skills.
· Computer literate, with proficient skills in MS-Office suite of programs, strong in Excel is preferred.
· Occasional overnight travel may occur, less than 2% a year.
· Other duties as identified in support of the QHSE function.
