We are seeking an HR Administrator to join our team in Sydney. This position will be responsible for providing HR support across the full employee life-cycle, including recruitment and learning and development. This role is being offered on a part-time (3 days/week), 6-month contract.

An interest in the Guardian brand is highly desirable.

The HR Administrator will also have excellent organisational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills, an exceptional eye for detail, the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism and effective time management skills.

To apply for this position, please upload your résumé (maximum three pages) plus covering letter as one document. In your covering letter please outline your motivation for applying for the role, why you think you are suitable and why you are looking to leave or have left your current/past position.

Closing date for applications: 9 August 2021.
If you require an adjustment to be made during the recruitment process, please email australia.hr@theguardian.com

We believe that our role in the Australian media is to give a voice to the most marginalised people in society and value and respect all differences in all people — including people of colour, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from different social classes and people with disabilities (seen and unseen). We believe that these communities must be centred in the work we do, bringing a new perspective and a diversity of thought. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities and/or marginalised groups.
