It starts HERE! Our team is growing and we are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support our People & Culture Team.

What does this position consist of?

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be a key member of the People & Culture Team. Your role will consist of but is not limited to assisting the Chief People Officer with HR related functions pertaining to Talent Acquisition/Management, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, HR Administration and HR Governance. The role will focus on the coordination and administration functions within each HR vertical.

Given that Empower operates in the beautiful city of Montreal, Canada, and that we are proud to offer exceptional service in both official languages, only bilingual candidates (French and English) with HR experience will be considered.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

HR and Administrative Responsibilities:

-Respond to internal and external human resources requests;
-Partner with the operating leaders to ensure that we’re consistently offering a positive candidate and employee experience.
-Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new team memebers;
-Engage with pipeline candidates and maintain an active candidate pool for current and future positions.
-Collaborate with the various teams to deploy employee engagement initiatives.
-Drive and promote company culture, ensuring that innovation, collaboration, teamwork are embedded in our daily practices.
-Be a key contributor in helping business leaders to effectively manage their teams through advisory and support on all related HR matters.
-Schedule appointments, meetings and training for employees;
-Manage HRMS and keep employee records up to date;
-Administer payroll and benefits;
-Work on regular HR projects;
-Perform the administration of internal employee surveys.
-Perform all other related support tasks related to HR activities.

WHAT’S REQUIRED & EXPECTED?

-University degree or completion of a Human Resources Management degree/diploma program from a recognized -post-secondary institution, or equivalent experience.
-2-3 years of relevant HR coordinator experience;
-2 years of recruitment experience;
-Fully bilingual in french and english

-Demonstrates organization, autonomy, initiative, resourcefulness and good judgment;

-Proficient in HRMS and ATS applications and Competency Assessment Tools.
-Comprehensive knowledge of provincial and federal employment legislation.
-Ability to deal with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
-Exceptional communication skills; an active listener.
-Ability to be agile and manage change effectively.
-Demonstrated ability to build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and influence important decisions.
