The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef, to join our team, with a genuine passion for food & an innate ability to lead a high performing culinary team. In this role you will take ownership of the culinary operation leading by example in all areas of operational excellence including advocating our "Our Safety Culture" framework. This is an exciting role encompassing multi-site production, showcasing dynamic culinary trends in high street retail outlets, first class functions and quality-focused residential operations with a commitment to wellbeing.

Key Deliverables

-Create and execute innovative menus incorporating Chartwells brand standards
-Sharing of knowledge & passion for nutrition and wellbeing
-Ensure the safe production of a quality product without compromise in line with food safety guidelines including allergen management
-Take responsibility for the control of costs with special regard to portion control, waste minimisation and stock control
-Maintain a customer focus at all times, establish and foster positive relationships with key client stakeholders and be the face of culinary operations

-Passionate foodie with a strong background, and interest, in nutrition and allergy awareness
-Commercially astute with an eye for detail, quality and presentation standards
-Self-motivated and an excellent communicator
-Leads by inspiring others - a proven track record in demonstrating integrity, fairness and compassion with your team
-Passionate about delivering the highest levels of customer and client satisfaction
-Demonstrable attention to detail with an excellent ability to multi-task and prioritise
-Appreciation for food wastage & sustainability standards
-Exceptional communication and impeccable personal presentation
