That’s where you come in! We’re looking for an experienced Banquets Chef to support our culinary team.

Your day to day

You'll have the room to grow and have an opportunity to lead in an event or function. Key responsibilities include:

-Preparing large scale banquets cuisine for groups of 10 – 400 people
-Presenting food in accordance with our portion and quality standards.
-Control food usage to minimize waste, maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment
-Communicate with staff in other departments especially the kitchen and front of house team

What we need from you

-5 years’ experience in cooking in commercial kitchen ideally cooking for banquet or large quantity cooking
-Previous Experience in line cook, food production cook or prep cook
-The ability to problem solve & remain calm in busy periods
-Great organization skill and ability to plan when multiple events happening in the same time.
-Strong leadership skill to lead other colleagues when we hold an event of functions
-Flexibility to work a range of hours, which includes but is not limited to afternoons, evenings & public holidays
-An ability to work legally in New Zealand
