Quality EMEA Logistics has established a Quality Management System (QMS) that covers all regular logistical processes e.g. Inbound, Outbound, Reverse Logistics, Warehouse management as well as Value Added Service processes e.g. Rework, Packaging & Customizing and Loaner services. The EMEA Logistics QMS covers Medtronic owned and operated locations in Heerlen, Italy and Spain and performs supplier management for several outsourced processes across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. We are currently a team of seven Quality System Specialists and are looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to join our team and maintain and improve our Quality Management System.

A Day in the Life

You maintain and improve the Logistics Quality Management System by maintaining and improving the Quality Processes and supporting the operational process owners with the implementation of these processes. Next to this you provide advice on ISO standards and Corporate quality requirements.
You represent the Quality department and need to actively communicate and collaborate with process owners, process engineers, and other employees within the organization. You are expected to work independently on your tasks and will have the freedom to manage your own agenda.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

-You support/review corrective and preventive actions (CAPA process)
-You support/review change request forms (Change Control process)
-Maintain Quality system documents (Document Control process)
-Provide Quality advice (Quality Mentor) to process owners within the scope of the Quality EMEA logistics Quality -Management System
-Act as SME on the applicable ISO standards (ISO13485), Corporate or other Quality Requirements;
-Provide support and training on applicable quality related subjects
-Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement on quality aspects
-Support improvement projects
-See opportunities for quality system and quality process improvements and work with task teams in achieving these
-Possibility to perform internal and supplier audits.

Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, (technical) business management, or similar
At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience in a highly regulated environment (for example: medical technology, Automotive, Aviation, or logistical operational environment)
Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
