Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a creative, motivated and ambitious Project Management Assistant for employment in the London office to support the growth demands of the Rail sector.

The individual should be a self-starter with ambitions to manage infrastructure projects in the future. The successful candidate will be mentored within the LSE Rail Project Management team and will assist experienced Project Managers in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects.
Knowledge of the UK Rail sector is desirable but not a requirement for this role.

The selected candidate for this position needs to demonstrate competence in the below items:
-Knowledge of project management and associated methodologies, in relation to planning, monitoring and controlling projects throughout their lifecycle
-Strong analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations
-Has a problem solving approach to project delivery
-Is aware of financial terminology and recognises the financial impact of various project actions
-Excellent communicator, (both written and verbal) with ability to present at UK client meetings either in person or via remote working facilities
-Analyses financial data to identify key project issues
-Prepares cost forecasts which can be updated periodically
-Prepares and analyses progress trends and cost impact

Minimum Requirements

-Degree qualified
-BA/BSc in engineering, business management, accounting, or similar
-1+ years’ work experience in a professional environment

Essential Skills

-Excellent capability in the use of Excel
-Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications

-Knowledge of MS Project
-Skills in Power BI reporting
