Your Role and Responsibilities
You will handle release planning, change management; own application delivery from conception to release to Golden Master manufacturing. Release/Project Managers are responsible for the planning, scope, scheduling, and budget for software deliveries to the marketplace. Release/Project Managers often work with offering managers, architects, dev leaders and external teams to implement and identify requirements, estimate workloads, and implement Agile practices. Outcomes from Release/Project Managers can include project plans, release plans, Pert and Gantt charts. Often Release/Project Managers are responsible for tracking dependencies, measuring progress, removing critical path blockers, providing executive status, and communicating with other IBM internal organizations. Leads lessons learned to inspire and drive best practices for the teams
What you will do:
-Priorities the work items queue based on stakeholder feedback
-Work to align releases with downstream IBM consuming teams
-Work to align fixes with the downstream open-source project
-Ensure Issues and fixes are reviewed by the correct security review teams
-Work with security to release the fixes to open source
-Track and report status for the project

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
-Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or similar field
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills
-Highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities
-Growth-mindset: Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
-Highly collaborative: Strong ability to work through issues and find solutions
-3+ years Success working in a dynamic team-based development environment across multiple geographies.
-3+ years experience working in an agile, squad-based, continuous delivery development model.
-3+ years experience with open source
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
-5+ years of IT program management (Cloud & Infrastructure Preferred)
-Experience with Agile Methodologies, DevOps and software engineering best practices for Cloud development
-Understand the complexities of security and compliance, release management, common capabilities, and platform integration
-Project and/or Program Management with technical skills to automate process, pull and analyze data, skillfully use tooling (Jira, Git, Trello)
-Technical skills for dashboards, report automation, data analysis
-Demonstrated ability to collaborate with architects & developers to define solutions and deliverables and resolve technical issues
-Track record of keeping current with technology
-SCRUM knowledge
