We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chef Manager to join our team on a full time basis at Aveo The Domain Country Club.
Reporting into the Community Manager, you will lead a team to provide meal services across the community. Your ability to create a positive rapport with customers will position you well and help ensure they are delighted with each meal service.
As a hands-on people manager, you will be passionate about supporting your team to develop and grow within your team.
About the role:
-Ensuring daily quality meal service to residents and visitors of the Aveo community
-Restaurant services - overseeing both food and service elements
-Daily monitoring of food safety and general OH&S
-Total stock management including ordering, stock rotation, stock taking etc.
-Meeting with clients, customers and other support staff to ensure all required outcomes are met
-Managing maintenance of kitchen equipment
-Periodic financial reporting
-Rostering and managing staff absences
-Quality management - including performance management if required
About you:
-Relevant commercial cookery qualification (required)
-Retirement Village / Aged Care Industry experience (desirable)
-Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
-Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Police check clearance
-Demonstrated catering management experience
-Demonstrated ability to work within OH & S and continuous improvement environment
-Able to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work
-Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
